Activate West Wales, the regional partnership for sport, physical activity and active recreation, is looking for three non-executive directors to join its board.
The partnership is seeking non-executive directors who can bring strategic insight, experience and fresh perspectives to support its next phase of development. These roles will help shape the long-term direction and governance of the organisation, while providing independent support, constructive challenge and strategic guidance.
Alongside their governance responsibilities, the successful candidates will contribute expertise and external perspectives that help strengthen collaboration across sectors, align partners around shared priorities and support collective action to address inequalities in physical activity, health and wellbeing.
Established in 2023, the organisation brings together partners from across sport, health, local government, education, housing, the voluntary sector and communities to help create the conditions for more people to be more active across Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Swansea and Neath Port Talbot.
Activate West Wales provides support to enable organisations to see the bigger picture, agree shared priorities and align their work so that local investment, services and opportunities have the greatest impact. A key part of its role is also developing a workforce that can work in a place-based way, listening to communities, understanding local strengths and barriers, building trust across sectors and knowing how to influence decisions and practice beyond their own organisation.
