    Cardiff Bus announce city centre diversions for Judgement Day this weekend

    Rugby fans and bus users in Cardiff are being urged to plan their journeys ahead of time this weekend as Judgement Day returns to the city.

    Customers are being reminded by Cardiff Bus of diversions and road closures which are set to come into force on Saturday 22 April from 11:00 until 21:00 as Scarlets take on Dragons RFC before Cardiff Rugby battle it out against the Ospreys in the final weekend of BKT United Rugby Championship action.

    Services running through Cardiff city centre will be affected, and cross city routes will be split.

    • Services 1 and 2 and 7 will start and end at Canal Street, and the Baycar (service 6) will start and end at Customhouse Street JG.Services 13, 15, 17, 18, 25, 32, 61, 62, 63, 64 and 66 will start and end at Fitzhamon Embankment.
    • Services 4, 92, 94, 95, 96 and 96A will start and end at Tudor Street.
    • Services 8, 9 and X45 towards Cardiff Bay and the Sports Village will start and end at Hayes Bridge Road.
    • Services 8 and 9 to the Heath Hospital, 11, 44, 45, 49, 50, 52, 57, 58 and 59 will start and end at Churchill Way.
    • Services 21, 23, 24 and 27 will start from Greyfriars Road GL, service 35 will start and end at Greyfriars Road GJ, and services 51 and 53 will continue to start and end at Greyfriars Road GK.
    • Services 28, 28A, 28B will start from Greyfriars Road GJ and service 30 will start and end at Greyfriars Road GG.

    Gareth Stevens, Commercial Director at Cardiff Bus said: “As the excitement of Judgement Day returns to the capital, we will be following our match day diversions to minimise disruption to services for our customers.  Our website and app have been updated to reflect the bus stop changes.

    “We would advise all our customers to check these route and bus stop changes before travelling on this weekend to ensure they are fully aware of all diversions in place.”
