A new seasonal menu that has all the hallmarks of one of Britain’s greatest chefs has been launched at a popular Cardiff restaurant.

Featuring a mouth-watering mix of classic dishes perfect for the longer, lighter days, the spring menu has been revealed at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse bar & Grill on the 6th floor of Dominions Arcade and includes a seasonal set and specials.

Reflecting Pierre White’s ethos of serving simple but classically prepared cuisine, the dishes will, it is hoped appeal to a wide range of guest and budget.

On the specials, starters include a beautifully balanced Anchovies on Toast and was a dish Marco featured on the BBC Maestro series. There is also a Laverstoke Park Mozzarella Di Buffalo which is accompanied with a piperade of red peppers and fresh basil.

    Redefine Meat Burger

For mains there are four dishes to choose from including a sharing Tomahawk steak, the plant-based Redefine Burger, a Baked Spinach & Ricotta Cannelloni served with a béchamel sauce and Campbell Brothers’ BBQ Ribeye Steak with Long Clawson ‘award-winning’ blue stilton butter and potato fondant.

Those who fancy the seasonal set menu will find a enough choice to want to go back again and again.

    Potage Paysanne

Included on the starters is a Potage Paysanne Light Curried Leek & Potato Soup served with cheddar croutons or a Croustade of Red Pepper with torn mozzarella.

The mains are just as varied and includes a Roasted Root Vegetable & Bean Cassoulet with pomodoro, Gnocchi Sophia Loren in a creamy sauce with Long Clawson stilton and a Seabass Fillet with crushed buttered charlotte potatoes.

Tirion Canavan, restaurant general manager said: “It’s really exciting to bring out a new spring menu and has all the hall marks of Marco’s ethos of dining out. It features some classic favourites and there are some showstopping new dishes to try and are all fantastic value for our customers.

“People love to eat out, even if it is just going to somewhere casual and the new sprig menu is focused around our belief that good quality food should be an experience that is shared and enjoyed with friends and family, whatever the occasion.

“If you just want a starter that’s fine. If you just want a main, that’s fine. It’s not pretentious, just good quality food served in a relaxed environment.
