Businesses across Bridgend County Borough have been invited to attend a Business Support Fair that will take place next month.

The free event will be taking place on Thursday 20 July between 4pm and 6pm at the Indoor Bowls Hall, Angel Street, Bridgend, CF31 4AH. This will be a free drop in event aimed at new start-ups and existing businesses, offering guidance on the wide range of support available from the many business support organisations.

Some of the business support organisations who will be in attendance at the fair include Employability Bridgend, Business Wales, Department for Work & Pensions, Development Bank of Wales, Careers Wales and many more.

Businesses will also be able to find out about funding opportunities including grants available.

Bridgend County Borough Council will be launching a number of new grant schemes which are funded by the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and will support businesses in Bridgend County Borough to diversify, decarbonise and grow.

Some of the new grant schemes include Business Development Grant, Business Feasibility Grant, Bridgend Valleys Placemaking Property Improvement Grant and Empty Property Survey Grants.

The event is free for all businesses and there is no need to register.

We are delighted to be holding another business support fair for businesses across the county borough.

The event will be filled with excellent opportunities for businesses to get support from the council and beyond through funding and other schemes.

I hope that businesses across the county borough will find the event insightful and be able to access the support they need.

Councillor Neelo Farr, Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Wellbeing
