Six by Nico has revealed the details of its second six-course tasting menu in Cardiff, and diners are in for a foodie fiesta!

After a recent trip to Barcelona, Chef Nico Simeone and his team are bringing their Catalonian adventures into the kitchens at their new restaurant in Cardiff.

Starting on 25 September 2023, the renowned culinary restaurant will take diners on a journey to the Catalan region of Spain. Here, the coastal towns and vibrant culture have inspired a menu like no other.

The northeastern province of Spain boasts a rich history of creating fine cuisine from its natural ingredients. Chef Nico Simeone, along with his creative team, embarked on an epic culinary expedition along the Mediterranean coast, exploring the vibrant streets of Barcelona, the charming beaches of Roses, and the historic city of Girona. Drawing inspiration not only from the region’s exquisite food but also from the artistic, architectural, and culinary luminaries who have contributed to Barcelona’s creative landscape.

Founder and Chef Nico Simeone, said: “Catalonia has a reputation for producing some of Spain’s finest cuisine. The region produces a variety of fresh, high-quality seafood, meat, poultry, game, fruit and vegetables. Our dishes are inspired by not just the food in the region, but artists’, architects and fellow chefs — individuals who, like us, are driven by the art of creation. Following the success of our inaugural menu in Cardiff, we eagerly await the response to our latest offering!”

Inspired by their journey through Catalonia, Six by Nico’s new menu pays homage to the vibrant flavours and culinary marvels discovered along the way. From the bustling La Boqueria Market, where the team tasted the magic of Patatas Bravas, to the awe-inspiring Gaudi Tour.
