LLANDUDNO’S sixth arts weekend has been hailed a success, drawing and inspiring crowds across the town.[aoa id=”1″]

Held over three days, creative workshops, art installations, music, dance, cinema, and performances were brought together to enchant visitors.
Highlights included Museum of the Moon in St John’s Church, a giant whale, aerial acrobatics, a mythical seafaring creature, and a chariot-riding Boudicca.
Bathing huts were transformed into magical places for storytelling and community arts projects focussed on ecology. An exhibition of painting, sculptures, drawing and photography could be seen at MOSTYN – organisers of the festival. HAUS was home to an exhibition exploring the inside of some of Llandudno’s lost buildings.
Director of Oriel MOSTYN Gallery, Alfredo Cramerotti, said:
“LLAWN06 has again proved to be a riot of colour and fun. Throughout town, there was something to stop people in their tracks and give them an opportunity to participate, or observe, art at its finest.
“The standard of artists and companies engaged this year has been particularly high and judging by the reactions of visitors, they thoroughly enjoyed our inspiring mix of entertaining and thought-provoking experiences and activities.”
Ecology was the theme of this year’s event with activities centred around culture, people, the sea, and space.
“We wanted people to stop and think so, from messages about looking after our coastlines to discovering the hidden faces of Llandudno’s hospitality trade there were elements of ecology running throughout the festival. But, more than that, we wanted to bring people joy and fun and LLAWN06 has delivered that once again,” added Alfredo.
