In an exciting development for guests and locals, The Esplanade, a charming beach-front hotel, has announced a comprehensive £500,000 renovation project to transform its 600 sq. m ground floor!

The renovations will include the creation of a brand-new restaurant and bar, a new kitchen, a modernised reception area, and a newly designed outdoor dining space. Starting shortly in November, the project is expected to take approximately five months to complete, with an estimated completion date of April 2024.

This extensive refurbishment aims to enhance the overall guest experience, providing visitors with an even more welcoming and comfortable environment. The hotel’s management is committed to preserving the rich history and heritage of the Victorian property while modernising and revitalising its amenities to meet the needs of today’s travellers. The Esplanade was formed when five Victorian townhouses were combined in the 1920s. Guests have been welcomed to Llandudno for almost a century, and this will continue for many years to come.

The project has a great team behind it, with Anthony Litchfield from SB4 Group acting as project manager and principal contractor, Barry Richards from BR Richards as the architect, Tom Wogan from TMW as the building contractor and Hannah Jones of Design House Wales doing the interior design.

Shon Morgans, Managing Director: “We are thrilled to start this exciting journey to enhance the guest experience at the Esplanade. This investment reflects our commitment to providing outstanding accommodation and services whilst offering an exquisite dining experience. We can’t wait to unveil these exciting changes next year!”

The project is expected to allow the hotel to attract a diverse clientele, including tourists, business travellers, and event planners seeking a modern and inviting setting for their stays, summer holidays and special occasions.

The hotel will remain open during the renovation, as will the breakfast service that comes along with a B&B. Every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience to guests staying at the hotel during this period.
