As Wales take on the Barbarians at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Saturday 4th November, Cardiff Bus is alerting customers to city centre diversions.

There will be changes to usual bus stop locations and road closures which are set to come into force between 10:30 and 19:00.

    Services 13, 17, 18, 25, 61, 62, and 63 will start and end at Fitzhamon Embankment.

Services 4, 92, 94, 95 and 96 will start and end at Tudor Street.

Service 9 will be split at the city center to operate in two sections, Sports Village to the City Centre and City Centre to UHW Heath Hospital.  Journeys to and from Sports Village will start and end at Hayes Bridge Road whilst journeys to and from UHW Heath Hospital will start and end at Churchill Way when the road closures are in place.

Services 11, 44, 45, 49, 50, 52, 57, 58 and 59 will start and end at Churchill Way. The usual Saturday evening City Centre diversions on these routes will apply from 19:00 not 21:00.

Services 21, 23, 24, 35, will start and end on Greyfriars Road, whilst services 27, 28, 29 and 30 will start from a temporary stop on Kingsway.

Services 1, 2, 6 (Baycar) and 8 will start and end at Canal Street.  Service 8 will divert via Penarth Road and not serve Clare Road during these times.

Gareth Stevens, Commercial Director at Cardiff Bus said: “To accommodate road closures and to ensure travel can continue without too much disruption, buses will divert and use alternative bus stops in the city centre.  Our website and app have been updated to reflect these changes to help journey plan on the day.

“We would advise all our customers to check these route and bus stop changes before travelling to Cardiff to ensure they are fully informed on the diversions in place.”
