This November, Honest Burgers is transporting diners to the concrete jungle for a culinary New York-themed burger. The British restaurant has partnered with Brooklyn Brewery, a top brewery in the American craft beer scene, to create the Brooklyn Burger.

This East Coast delight is the result of a week-long visit to the trendy borough of Brooklyn, where the Honest Burgers team tried and tested the best spots in the Big Apple for flavour inspiration.

Honest has decided to ‘spread love the Brooklyn way’ and bring a taste of the city to its UK restaurants, inspired by the New York food and drink scene.

Brooklyn Burger with Rosemary Salt Fries

This culturally collaborative burger is made up of Honest beef, double American cheese, savoury and gently bitter Brooklyn Pilsner beer-braised onions which are balanced out by the sweetness of candied bacon, dijonnaise, white onions and pickles. This combination is packed full of flavour and delivers a tasty punch.

Adam Layton, Honest Burgers, Head of Food, said: “Brooklyn Brewery make some of my favourite beers ever. I was lucky to spend a day at the New York brewery with Brooklyn’s famous brew master Garrett Oliver, learning about Williamsburg’s rich brewing history, sampling new and experimental brews and exchanging opinions on beer and burgers. The simplicity of our collab burger is its strength, letting the hoppy Brooklyn Pilsner beer-braised onions shine, balanced with sweet, candied bacon and cut through with sharp and rich confit garlic dijonnaise.”

Brooklyn Brewery is inspired by its namesake borough and embodies the welcoming spirit of its home with a rich tapestry of cultural backgrounds and self-expression. The brewery’s popular new brew, Brooklyn Pilsner, is a crisp, bright, and refreshing Pilsner-style lager that gathers crowds and fires up the good vibes with its light toasty flavours and spicy, subtle citrus hop notes.

The Brooklyn Burger will be available at all 40 Honest Burgers’ restaurants, including Cardiff, and via Uber Eats or click & collect until 27th November.

The burger is priced at £14.80, served with homemade rosemary salted chips for dine-ins and collection or £15.90 with a side when ordered via Uber Eats.
