There will be two overnight road closures at the northern end of Berw Road in Pontypridd next week, to enable carriageway resurfacing.

The work is taking place at night to minimise disruption, starting at 7pm on Monday and Tuesday (January 29 and 30), and finishing by 2am each following morning. The work is subject to fair weather.

The closure area starts around 120-metres north east of White Bridge – and the resurfacing will take place over around 160-metres (continuing north east).

An alternative route for motorists will be clearly signposted, via Ynysybwl Road, Heol-y-Mynach, Hawthorn Terrace, Glamorgan Street, Vaughan Terrace, Penrhiwceiber Road, Miskin Road, Cross Valley Link, A4059 New Road, A470, Bridge Street Roundabout, Bridge Street and Berw Road.

Access will be maintained for emergency services and pedestrians, while cyclists should dismount and take the pedestrian route. Access will also be maintained to premises.

Public service buses travelling on this section of Berw Road will be guided through the resurfacing area while the works are ongoing.
