Cardiff Metropolitan University’s School of Art and Design is launching a range of new evening and weekend short courses open to all abilities, giving people the opportunity to hone their skills at the university’s professionally equipped studios and workspaces.

From printmaking to painting, drawing to doodling for mindfulness, ceramics and craft courses, Cardiff Met’s School of Art and Design will be adding nine new courses to its programme, with a total of 14 courses set to take place during the summer term. The courses are suitable for complete beginners as well as artists and designers of all abilities.

Dr Bethan Gordon, Dean of the School of Art and Design at Cardiff Met said: “It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced artist or designer, if you’re preparing a portfolio to apply for a degree or Foundation programme, or if you’ve never picked up a pencil before, our programme of courses and workshops are a great way of trying out new skills and developing your practice.

“The short courses are also a great way to meet a likeminded community of leisure learners and we’re proud that we have participants coming back to our courses term after term. Anyone taking part will have access to our excellent studio spaces and our team of superb tutors, who have helped to craft these new courses.”

Courses begin from the week commencing 15th April and include:
