Matchmaker aims to restore trust and confidence in modern dating

Many of us continue to work online, work out online and date online – human interactions IRL (in real life) can be few and far between.

It’s a problem that established recruitment consultant Mera Mann is tackling by launching Smitten – a premier, traditional and personalized matchmaking service. Smitten connects genuine single professionals across Wales and the South West, restoring trust and confidence in modern dating.

Mera, 52, has been professionally matching the ideal candidate with their dream roles for over 25 years and will combine the same relationship building skills and interviewing principles with coaching Smitten members and providing feedback.

The Smitten team uses a welcoming and proactive approach: following an initial face to face consultation, carefully curated monthly ‘mixer’ events will kickstart every member’s journey.  Smitten will host small and exclusive, invitation-only mixers at a stylish venue with hand-picked guests.

Mera says: “We are passionate about keeping it real and identifying bespoke connections for all our members.  Everyone is busy – there are so many time constraints on every area of life, so we will take care of the onerous searching and screening for you and will sift connections, using your personal criteria.

“I have substantial experience of screening candidates based on intellect, education, emotional intelligence and compatibility.

“Rest assured that all our members will have been met by us and handpicked for you.”

Mera and her team are wholly committed to screening any timewasters and, she says, ‘to putting a real, beating heart back into dating.’

She says: “Whether it’s identifying what makes someone tick or getting to the nitty gritty of what’s really holding them back, my honesty and confidence in many years of recruitment and my passion for people will allow me to get to know the real person.”

Every member benefits from a face to face consultation and reassurance that each introduction has been previously met by the Smitten team.

And confidentiality is assured – there are no online profiles, this is an ‘offline’, personalized service and every connection is valuable – even if the connections members make at monthly mixers aren’t romantic; connections may know a suitable match; a suitable relative to recommend or may even develop into a productive business connection.

Smitten is currently offering a discounted registration fee, plus a 3-month free subscription, valid until 1st June 2024.
