Abatec Recruitment, a leading recruitment firm based in the Southwest, is pleased to announce the acquisition of St David Recruitment Services, a prominent recruitment agency located in Cardiff, South Wales. This strategic move strengthens Abatec’s foothold in the region and broadens its service offerings to a wider range of clients.

Abatec Recruitment owners, Richard Buchanan and Rob Dyer, are delighted with the successful completion of the acquisition, which was advised on by GS Verde Group.

Abatec was founded more than 30 years ago on the principles of integrity, commitment, and excellence, aligning its ethos with its clients to become a true recruitment partner with an extensive network and a deep understanding of the businesses and candidates it works with. Boasting major clients in the civil engineering, industrial, IT, and Digital sectors, Abatec has been on a successful expansion journey, now welcoming St David Recruitment onboard.

Recruiting across a range of sectors, from Business Support, Legal, Finance, Tech and Healthcare, St David Recruitment is a premier Cardiff Recruitment agency that was established in 2002. Abatec owners, Richard Buchanan and Robert Dyer, are delighted to expand its portfolio with the addition of St David.

Richard said: “At Abatec, we are delighted to have completed this strategic acquisition, as we recognise the exceptional reputation and market position that St David holds. We are extremely excited about the opportunities this acquisition presents”.

This strategic move signifies Abatec’s commitment to growth and its dedication to its clients, by adding additional services and an increased regional presence, as well as the considerable additional expertise and resources the team at St David will add.

The acquisition will see St David Recruitment Co-Founder, Sally Hall, remain with the business in its next stage of growth, operating as usual, with the added support, leadership, and infrastructure of Abatec.

Robert added: “We are pleased to welcome St David Recruitment Services to the Abatec family. We are excited to be able to collaborate with St David and provide an enhanced and extensive service to our clients in both the Southwest, South Wales, and beyond.”

St David Recruitment Services was advised throughout by the GS Verde Group. Abatec Recruitment was advised by Jo Bligh of Thinking Legal and Joy Boswell of Fourfifty.
