Heritage furniture designer and manufacturer, Bisley, has just secured a duo of deals worth over £2million, with two of the world’s most well-known brands, Tesla and Amazon.

Bisley’s deal with Tesla will see the south Wales based company provide workspace solutions for Tesla’s vast European factory – Gigafactory Berlin Brandenberg – located 35km from Berlin.

Tesla operates several factory buildings in the industrial zone of Berlin and the new deal will see Bisley provide Tesla with a number of core items for their vast factory floor space, including pedestals, a selection of Bisley’s CLK, Primary and Monobloc lockers, and several Glide units which will be utilised on Tesla’s famously efficient production lines, as well as their office spaces.

All items will be manufactured in Bisley’s factory before making their way on to Tesla’s German facilities.

The Tesla deal has been secured at the same time as a new contract win within Amazon’s IT headquarters based in Munich. Bisley have supplied a large number of fully bespoke digital locker units, which the e-commerce giant is using to manage the maintenance processes for their IT hardware network across 16 locations in 14 countries, including Bahrain, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the US and seven European sites.

The lockers are being utilised by Amazon employees when their tech equipment is in need of repair or replacement. The items are placed in Bisley’s secure digital lockers, whereupon they are serviced or replaced by Amazon IT who then send the employee a code in order to retrieve their items once they are available.

Bisley won the contract to deliver the Amazon project due to their extensive international network of showrooms, offices and technicians who were able to oversee the global project from concept, through to installation at all 16 locations.

Bisley’s international offices, including locations in New York, Paris, and Dubai, are largely responsible for bolstering the company’s strong exporting credentials. Bisley exports to 63 countries around the world, which accounts for 45% of company turnover, bringing in international revenues of approximately £35m a year.
