Bellway Wales unveils ‘house to home’ experience in Cardiff

Bellway Wales has opened the doors to an innovative property which will give house-hunters in Cardiff the chance to see exactly how a new home is built.

The housebuilder unveiled a ‘House to Home’ plot at Longwood Grange in Lisvane on Saturday (22 June) to offer potential purchasers a behind-the-scenes insight into the various stages of construction. A new three-bedroom Cedar showhome was also opened on the day.

The ‘House to Home’ – which has been created within a three-storey, three-bedroom Juniper house type – showcases the first-fix stage, when blockwork, plumbing and wiring are visible, the second-fix stage, when sinks and baths, floors, internal doors, sockets and switches are installed, and the third and final stage, which brings in wall and floor tiling, carpeting and decorating.

At the launch event, Bellway sales staff handed out free drinks and local caterers Ballers Pizza were hired to offer free pizza to visitors from their vintage van on the site.

Daniel Shone, Head of Sales for Bellway Wales, said: “The unique ‘House to Home’ plot is an exciting innovation which will allow a member of the site team to give visitors a very special insight into how a new-build home is constructed. The idea is to give customers a more in-depth understanding of the processes and complexities involved in building their new home.

“We also have a Juniper view home on site which gives po

tential purchasers the chance to see how the property will look once it is actually finished. These two properties will afford visitors the rare opportunity to see how a new-build property is built from start to finish.

“There has been a great deal of interest in Longwood Grange and this appeal was evidenced by the steady stream of visitors during the weekend.”

Bellway is building 270 new homes at the development off Maerdy Lane and the new House to Home plot and Cedar showhome complement the existing sales area which includes two further showhomes, the four-bedroom Chestnut and Sycamore houses.

Daniel said: “The new Cedar showhome serves as a perfect example to families who want a house with a flexible layout that can accommodate both their personal and professional lives. The three-storey design means the functionality of the house can be adapted as a family grows, without having to sacrifice precious space in the process.

“There’s a great mix of home designs now available to view at Longwood Grange which really give people an insight to what it might be like to live in a new-build home here.”

There’s currently a choice of three, four and five-bedroom houses available to reserve at Longwood Grange, with prices starting from £374,995.
