Pembrokeshire County Council is delighted to congratulate all learners on their achievements in this year’s GCSE and vocational qualifications.

Despite the challenges faced over the past few academic years, all learners have demonstrated remarkable resilience, dedication, and academic achievement.

A number of learners across the county have secured the top grades this year and this is to be commended.

Learners have achieved across a wide range of subjects showcasing their diverse talents and hard work across a range of GCSE and vocational qualifications. The success of learners is due to the unwavering support from school staff, parents and our wider community.

Cllr Guy Woodham, Cabinet Member for Education and the Welsh Language, said: “We are proud of our learners’ achievements. Their hard work and determination have paid off. Our learners have shown commitment and resilience.

“These results are a reflection of their dedication and the support they have received from our dedicated staff and their families. As our learners move on to the next stage of their educational journey, whether it be further education, apprenticeships, or entering the workforce, we wish them continued success and fulfilment in all their future endeavours.”

Steven Richards-Downes, Director for Education said, “As our learners celebrate their achievements, we also look forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead. Pembrokeshire County Council is committed to supporting Learners in their next steps, whether they choose to pursue further education, apprenticeships, or enter the workforce. There is a range of resources and programs designed to help learners explore their interests and achieve their career goals.”

A range of opportunities exist to help learners with their future career pathways. Local sixth forms and Pembrokeshire College provide a variety of courses and qualifications to help learners continue their academic journey.

Learners are also encouraged to consider apprenticeships, which offer hands-on experience and the chance to earn while they learn. Careers Wales are available to provide personalised support and advice, helping learners make informed decisions about their future.
