Carmarthenshire’s ultimate festive event is set to take place in the beautiful surroundings of Aberglasney Gardens. The annual Winter Fair will be held over three days – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – 29 & 30 November and 1 December 2024.

For the Winter Fair the Gardens will be transformed into a Christmas paradise. There will be festive live music, a children’s trail and Santa will be in his Aberglasney grotto. Stall holders will include artists and crafters as well as artisan food and drink producers.

Jim Stribling, Aberglasney’s Director of Operations, said, “Aberglasney’s Winter Fair is the perfect start to the festive season. The Gardens and Mansion will be transformed into a winter wonderland. We’re delighted to be able to offer visitors the opportunity to do all their Christmas shopping whilst enjoying the festive atmosphere in these beautiful surroundings.”

The Fair will be open each day from 10am until 4.30pm. A complimentary glass of mulled wine and a mince pie will welcome visitors to the Gardens as will the sounds of Christmas from a variety of live performers.

Visitors will find unique gifts, handmade decorations, art and beautiful homeware. There will be one-off pieces of jewellery and fashionable winter wear for those who want something special for themselves or to give as gifts.

Santa will make time in his busy schedule to visit every day. Sion Corn will be happy to chat in English, neu yn Gymraeg. There will be a gift for each child that visits him and there will be a festive trail around the Gardens for children to enjoy finding the clues.

The event will have a food marquee which will give visitors the opportunity to stock up on all their festive treats. From decadent chocolate, festive spirits to Welsh cheese, there’s something to tantalise everyone’s tastebuds. There will also be a range of outlets for ‘on the go’ eating and drinking.

Entrance to the Winter Fair will be £14.50 per person with no separate entrance fee to the Gardens. Visitors to the Winter Fair will be able to enjoy a walk around the Gardens during their visit. Aberglasney members are admitted to the Winter Fair free of charge as part of their annual membership package.

There will be a free park and ride service available each day of the event. On the Friday the buses will run from Cae William Llandeilo RFC ground and on the Saturday and Sunday the buses will run from Ysgol Bro Dinefwr this year giving us more spaces for parking. Group discounts are available if pre-arranged.
