Llanelli, UK – Runners, spectators, and supporters gathered in Llanelli yesterday to celebrate the triumphant return of the hugely popular Llanelli Half Marathon and 10K. Sponsored by Tata Steel and powered by a dedicated team of volunteers and crew, the event was a resounding success, filled with determination, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments.

A Thrilling Start to the Running Calendar

Organisers of the race, Front Runner Events, reported outstanding results from runners of all abilities. Acting Managing Director, Tash Smith, expressed her delight at the turnout, particularly for the half marathon, which welcomed many first-time participants alongside seasoned runners.

“It was fantastic to see such a wonderful turnout at both distances. As one of the first races in the calendar for the region, this event continues to be an attractive challenge for many. We are thrilled with today’s event and to see the wonderful support of the running community and our volunteers, who help us make it such a success,” she said.

Among the day’s inspiring stories was that of 43-year-old Nichola Davies, who ran the half marathon to raise awareness for kidney donation after donating her kidney to her friend’s son.
