Get ready for a summer of fun at The National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, as tickets for the school holidays are released!

Rain or shine, Lido Ponty will be open seven days a week, offering two early morning swims and then six family fun/casual sessions daily.

Tickets for all sessions from July 18 to the end of the school holidays will be on sale from 9am on Monday, June 30. Get yours on the Lido Ponty Website.

Some 42,274 people of all ages have already enjoyed the open air pools at Lido Ponty since the New Year’s Day swim on January 1, 2025.

These include cold water swimmers, early morning dippers and weekend fun-seekers.

Cllr Ann Crimmings, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure said: “Half way through the year and we are already having an incredible season at Lido Ponty.

“Come rain or shine, it’s an amazing experience to swim or splash in the open air pools, all three of which are heated to 28 degrees during the main season.

“Whether you want to start your day the right way with an early morning swim, or want to keep the kids entertained in the school holidays with a fun session with inflatable obstacle course, pedal boats and water zorb, there is something for everyone.

“Set in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park, in the heart of Pontypridd, you can make a day of it at Lido Ponty. Enjoy your swim, spend time in the beautiful park and the huge Lido Play adventure playground and grab a coffee from the on-site café. There’s plenty of space for ball games, frisbees and, if you are lucky, sunbathing, plus sports courts.

“Pop into Ponty and browse the range of shops, explore the historic market and grab a bite to eat – there’s lots on the menu.”

Tickets for all sessions from July 18 to the end of the summer holidays will be on sale from 9am on Monday, June 30. They can be purchased at www.lidoponty.co.uk

Please select early morning swim for the two early sessions every day and family fun/casual for all other sessions. Those who wish to enjoy the terrace and sun loungers while the rest of their party swim can book a spectators’ ticket.

Please be aware there is maximum of six people per booking. If you try to book more than six people into one booking, the system will indicate there are no spaces. Please split larger parties into groups of six and book separately.
