    The Welsh kebab houses named in the British Kebab Awards 2026

    The semi-finalists for the 14th British Kebab Awards have been revealed, with some of Wales’ best-loved kebab houses securing a place on the shortlist.

    Founded in 2013 by restaurateur and campaigner Ibrahim Dogus, the Awards celebrate the very best kebab restaurants and takeaways across the UK. Now a highlight of the hospitality calendar, they showcase excellence across 20 categories, shining a light on businesses that contribute to a sector worth over £2.8 billion a year.

    This year’s Welsh contenders will compete in categories including Best Kebab House in Wales and Best Greek Restaurant/Takeaway.

    Best Kebab House in Wales – Semi-Finalists

    • Anka Turkish Restaurant, Bangor

    • Bellevue Grill & Fish Bar, Wrexham

    • Best Kebabs, Cwmbran

    • Chip-o-Dee, Wrexham

    • Dee Pizza and Wraps, Llangollen

    • Golden BBQ, Cardiff

    • Grill & Bake, Newport

    • Jalapenos Pizza and Grill, Cardiff

    • Keyif Restaurant, Penarth

    • Lezzet Authentic Restaurant, Swansea

    • Marmaris Kebab House, Blackwood

    • Pizza Choice, Cardiff

    • Roscoes Grill, Cardiff

    • Sam’s Grill House, Caerphilly

    • The Best Kebab Bethesda, Bangor

    • Treharris Charcoal Grill, Merthyr Tydfil

    • Vegas Kebab, Newport

    • Wales Kebab, Caerphilly

    • Wrexham Kebab & Pizza, Wrexham

    • Yiannos Fish Bar, Mynydd Isa

    Best Greek Restaurant and/or Takeaway – Semi-Finalist

    • SaraZtro, Cardiff

    Founder of the Awards, Ibrahim Dogus, said: “The British Kebab Awards have always been about celebrating the dedication, creativity, and excellence of kebab businesses across the UK. This year’s semi-finalists once again reflect the passion, innovation, and community spirit that makes the UK’s kebab scene so remarkable.”

    Public voting is open until 25 October 2025, with finalists announced on 1 November 2025. Winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony in February.
