South Wales Police is continuing to investigate the murder of 22-year-old Liam Woolford from Porth.

Just before 12.40am on Tuesday, September 23, officers were called to a disturbance on Poets Close in Rhydyfelin.

A 20-year-old woman from Penygraig who was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detectives have also been granted more time to question a 30-year-old man from Rhydyfelin, who was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, and a 22-year-old man from Tonteg, who was arrested on suspicion of murder. Both men remain in police custody.

Two other men injured during the incident are still in hospital.

A South Wales Police spokesperson said:
“We want to express our gratitude to the local community of Rhydyfelin for their support during this investigation.”
