Hazlewoods, a leading accountancy and business advisory firm, will see ten of its Cardiff staff run the city’s half marathon to raise vital funds for children’s hospice Tŷ Hafan.
The ten runners will join thousands of participants at the Cardiff Half Marathon this Sunday 5 October. As part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to giving back, Hazlewoods has chosen to support Tŷ Hafan, a local charity providing palliative care for children with life-limiting conditions in Wales. By taking part in the race, Hazlewoods aims to raise crucial funds for Tŷ Hafan’s important work and has already raised £1,000 ahead of Sunday’s race.
While the team comprises some experienced runners, others are using the event as an opportunity to improve their fitness and reconnect with the sport. In preparation, they have met every Thursday for social runs, are following a group training plan and have agreed to prioritise support over speed by running at the pace of the slowest member. These sessions have become a highlight of the week, boosting motivation and strengthening team spirit.
Since opening its Cardiff office in Capital Tower last year, Hazlewoods has been actively building its profile in south Wales. The Cardiff Half offers the perfect opportunity to improve brand awareness, encourage staff wellbeing, and champion a fantastic charity all at once.
