Cardiff will get a taste of Italy this weekend as the Cardiff Italian Festival takes over Tiger Yard for an afternoon of food, music and entertainment.
The festival will be held at Tiger Yard in Cardiff Bay on Sunday, September 20, running from 12pm until 6pm.
Organisers are promising a full day celebrating Italian culture, with live performances, food and drink, wine tasting and activities for families.
The event will officially get underway at 12pm with a ribbon-cutting ceremony involving the Italian Consul.
Live music will feature throughout the afternoon, with performances from the Italian Radio Society, Calabrian folk musicians and Joenglish.
A wine tasting will take place at 3.30pm, followed by karaoke from 4pm.
Food will be a major part of the festival, with Elgano, Calabrisella Group, Roma Eat and Khione Sicilian Delicatessen among those serving Italian dishes and specialities.
Drinks will also be available from Vinitalia and Volare.
Alongside the food and entertainment, families will be able to enjoy activities including a magician, inflatable attraction, table tennis and table football.
The festival is designed to showcase Italian culture in the Welsh capital, bringing together regional food, music and entertainment in a family-friendly setting.
Tickets cost £12 for adults, while children under the age of 12 can attend for free. Advance booking is recommended to guarantee entry.
