    Remembrance Day town centre services and parades in Neath and Port Talbot

    Final details are being put in place for Remembrance Day services and parades which will take place in the centres of Neath and Port Talbot on Sunday, November 9th, 2025.

    Councillor Wyndham Griffiths, one of Neath Port Talbot Council’s Armed Forces Champions said: “The annual Remembrance parades and services we hold here in Neath Port Talbot commemorate those who have fallen in the First World War and in subsequent conflicts.

    “We all owe a great debt to members of our armed forces who lost their lives while serving our country, so that we can live ours in freedom.”

    Fellow Armed Forces Champion, Cllr Tim Bowen, added: “We pay tribute at this time of year to all those who have volunteered, served and fought and especially those men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us. We will carry on respecting, honouring and remembering them.”

    Below are details of the services and parades taking place in the centres of Neath and Port Talbot on Sunday, November 9th, 2025.

    PORT TALBOT:

    9 am Road closures in place

    9.30 am Participants muster for Parade at Port Talbot Transport Hub

    10.40 am Parade arrives at Talbot Memorial Park

    10.45 am Remembrance Service at Talbot Memorial Park

    11.20 am Return parade to Port Talbot Transport Hub

    12 noon Parade ends

    1 pm Road closures lifted

    NEATH:

    9 am Road Closure Order commences

    9.15 am Participants muster before service at St David’s Church, Neath             

    9.30 am Church Service commences

    10.35 am Participants muster for Parade on St David’s Street

    10.40 am Parade moves off

    10.50 am Parade arrives at Memorial Gates.

    11 am Act of Remembrance

    11.15 am Participants muster for return parade to take salute at Dias on Cedar Road

    12 noon Parade ends and road closures lifted

    Remembrance events will also be held in Briton Ferry, Ystalyfera and Pontardawe organised by town and community councils with help from voluntary organisations.
