    Rhian Wilkinson names Cymru squad for final 2025 internationals

    Rhian Wilkinson has named her Cymru squad for the final international window of the year.

    Cymru will travel to Spain to face Switzerland on Tuesday 2 December, with an 11:00am GMT / 12:00pm CET kick off time at El Chapin Stadium (Estadio Municipal de Chapín) in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.

    Another match is being finalized to be played in the evening of Friday 28 November (KO 6pm GMT / 7pm CET), also in Spain. Opponents will be confirmed in due course, but the match will take place at Malaga’s Football Foundation Centre.

    The World Cup play-off final in October 2022 was the last time Cymru faced Switzerland which resulted in a narrow 2-1 defeat.

    Five uncapped players feature in the squad, including Plymouth Argyle duo Olivia Francis and Phoebie Poole, and a first call-up for Melbourne City midfielder Laura Hughes.

    Ella Powell, Rhiannon Roberts, Lily Woodham, Rachel Rowe and Esther Morgan all return to the squad following injury.

    This international window will aid Cymru’s preparations for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifiers that will take place next year. Cymru, who are in Group 1 of League B will face Czechia, Albania and Montenegro.

    Both matches will be streamed online by BBC Wales, and entry is free and ticketless for both matches.
