Cardiff Airport is adding a dash of joie de vivre to February 2026 as Air France announces a series of special direct flights between Cardiff (CWL) and Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG).

Perfectly timed for two key moments in the calendar, the Wales vs France Six Nations Rugby clash on Saturday 15 February and the Valentine’s Day weekend, these flights offer a seamless way to hop between the Welsh capital and the City of Love.

For travelling French supporters, this is the most convenient way to arrive in Wales and experience the famous atmosphere of match day at the Principality Stadium. Cardiff will be alive with colour, passion and rivalry as fans from both nations come together for one of the most anticipated fixtures of the tournament.

For Welsh travellers, Paris becomes the ultimate Valentine’s escape. Sunset strolls along the Seine, champagne at the Eiffel Tower and stylish bars perfect for cheering on Wales create a romantic and energising setting. With these special flights, experiencing a magical Valentine’s Day is easier than ever.

The flights also open up opportunities for short breaks and onward travel through Air France’s extensive global network. Whether passengers are seeking rugby excitement, Parisian romance or an international adventure, the added connectivity provides flexibility and convenience for every type of trip.

Cardiff Airport CEO Jon Bridge said:

“We’re thrilled to offer direct flights to such a vibrant and exciting city for Valentine’s weekend. Cardiff Airport is expanding its reach and giving customers fantastic travel options. We’ve listened to passenger demand and are delighted to make this opportunity possible. There is more to come from Cardiff.”
