These images show the significant progress that has been made on site at Bellway’s Longwood Grange development in Lisvane, where more than half of the planned 270 homes have now been built.
Residents have moved into all 144 completed properties at the development on the northern outskirts of Cardiff, while a further 14 homes currently under construction have been reserved.
Bellway began construction work on the 26-acre site off Maerdy Lane in 2021 and is on track to finish the development by the summer of 2027.
When completed, Longwood Grange will comprise 216 properties for private sale and 54 homes designated as affordable housing.
Rhian Reid, Sales Manager for Bellway Wales, said: “Work is progressing very well at Longwood Grange under the direction of our award-winning site manager Paul Oakley.
“It is exciting to see the neighbourhood growing and the community developing as people move in and enjoy settling into their homes and getting to know each other.
“We are providing high-quality energy-efficient properties at Longwood Grange and the development is meeting the need for good homes in this sought-after area of Cardiff.
“It’s a desirable location within the catchment area of popular schools and with countryside and Lisvane Reservoir nearby yet with the city centre and the M4 also within easy reach.
“The varied mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, including three-storey properties, is also attracting buyers with a wide range of requirements and budgets.”
Longwood Grange is part of the wider 1,000-home Churchlands neighbourhood being built between Lisvane and Pontprennau.
Construction at Longwood Grange is being overseen by Paul Oakley, who was named Regional Winner for Wales in the Large Builder category of the National House Building Council’s annual Pride in the Job competition last year.
The 54 affordable homes at Longwood Grange include 12 properties for sale at a 70 per cent discount to market value through the First Homes Cardiff scheme.
A selection of three, four and five-bedroom homes are currently available to buy at Longwood Grange, with prices starting from £354,995.
