Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of The Valley Hotel near Holyhead on the Isle of Anglesey.
The Valley Hotel is a 19-bedroom hotel and event venue which dates back to the 1800s. Situated close to the port of Holyhead, the hotel attracts ferry users and tourists, as well as hosting weddings and functions throughout the year.
Anglesey Inns had owned and operated the hotel for 30 years, having acquired the site from Burtonwood Brewery in 1993. During this time, they aspired for it to be a focal point for the local community and offer an affordable and enjoyable customer experience.
Paul Snape of Anglesey Inns Ltd commented, “We would like to thank everyone involved in our 32 eventful and challenging years at The Valley. We are glad to see that the business is going to continue, and hopefully thrive, under its new owners, who we know have excellent plans for the site.”
The hotel has been purchased by Mirza Real Estates, who also own Tre-Ysgawen Hall Hotel & Spa on the Isle of Anglesey and are actively pursuing opportunities in the area. Takir Mirza commented, “The Valley has a long, rich history, and we plan to invest heavily over the next year. All the staff have been fantastic since we took over, especially Rob, the manager.”
Tom O’Malley, Associate Director at Christie & Co who managed the sale process, added, “I am delighted to have supported in finding a new owner for The Valley Hotel. Seeing what Takir and Romana have done with Tre-Ysgawen Hall, I believe The Valley is in fantastic hands to take it forward to its next chapter.”
The hotel sold for an undisclosed sum.
