One of Cardiff’s best-loved pubs, The Deri Inn, has reopened its doors following an extensive three-week refurbishment, unveiling a fresh new look while continuing its role as a hub for the local community.
The reopening marks a significant investment in the venue, ensuring it continues to serve generations of local guests for years to come.

The transformation has seen The Deri Inn completely refreshed, with a redesigned bar, updated furnishings and two upgraded beer gardens with new festooned lighting, creating a modern and welcoming space for everything from weekday lunches to family celebrations and Sunday roasts.

The pub also has a private dining area, ideal for up to 80 guests looking to celebrate life’s milestones from baby showers to wedding anniversaries. The area can also be used for corporate events and business meetings.
Alongside the new look, guests can enjoy a refreshed menu featuring new dishes such as Grilled Salmon Fillet, Pork Tomahawk and the Katsu Chicken Rice Bowl, alongside the Ember Inns classics they know and love.
Sunday remains a highlight at The Deri Inn, where guests can enjoy Ember Inns’ much-loved Roast menu. The offering features hand-carved roast meats, crisp roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire puddings and rich gravy, alongside vegetarian options. For those looking to make the occasion even more indulgent, guests can add a bundle of classic sides including Cauliflower Cheese, Pork, Leek and Apple Stuffing, and extra Yorkshire Puddings for just £7 – making it the perfect excuse to gather family and friends around the table.

Guests can also continue to enjoy the pub’s popular fixed-price menu, available Monday to Friday, with up to three courses from £14.29 between 12pm and 5pm, and from £17.49 after 5pm.
Located at the very heart of the community, the pub is expected to welcome both local residents and visitors exploring Castell Coch, Cardiff Bay, or Caerphilly Castle, offering a place to relax, dine and socialise throughout the week.

Anne-Marie Thomas, General Manager at The Deri Inn, said:
“This refurbishment is about much more than giving the pub a new look. We’ve created a space that feels brighter, more comfortable and even more welcoming, while keeping the character that our guests love. We know this pub means a lot to the community, and we’re excited to welcome everyone back through the doors.”
