South Wales Police have issued an urgent appeal for a Good Samaritan who helped a young woman in Mermaid Quay, Cardiff, on Saturday night to come forward.
Officers believe the woman may have important information that could assist an ongoing investigation and are keen to speak with her as soon as possible.
The witness is described as a brunette woman in her mid twenties who was wearing a fur coat at the time. She stopped to help a 19 year old woman who appeared intoxicated and vulnerable while in the company of two men at around 9.45pm.
Police have stressed that the witness has done nothing wrong and are urging her, or anyone else who may have information about the incident, to contact them.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.
