The Green Lady is now open, boasting an investment of over £339,400, which has transformed the well-loved community pub to feature a host of exciting upgrades.

Introducing its innovative “Two Door Pub” concept, the pub now offers a sports bar area with Sky & TNT sports and a separate family lounge, creating two distinct spaces: a lively bar for the locals and a cosy, family-friendly lounge. Designed to cater to all occasions, The Green Lady brings the community together, offering guests the flexibility to enjoy their ideal experience, without compromise.

The Community Hero selected to pull the first pint and officially mark the pub’s opening was Gerri Reynolds. A familiar and much-valued member of the community, Gerri and his family are regular guests throughout the year. He is widely respected for his continued support of local initiatives, including providing kits and equipment for a local football team. The pub is proud to recognise his ongoing contribution and commitment to the community.

The newly updated bar area features large HD screens to keep guests entertained with all the latest sports action, including the Six Nations. The space also includes a dedicated darts area and pool table, so guests can challenge friends, enjoy some friendly competition, and soak up the lively atmosphere.

The Green Lady is a dog-friendly locals’ pub with a community feel. Locals can now drop by for a pint and a bite to eat, celebrating unmissable moments in the heart of the community. The pub continues to serve its popular pub favourites, such as The Ultimate Southern Fried Chicken Burger, and has a brand-new menu for guests to indulge in.

General Manager, Mathew Gassor said: “We’re so excited to be back open and show off the fantastic new look. We’ve worked hard to make The Green Lady a space for everyone – whether you’re catching the game with friends, enjoying a family lunch, or just popping in for a pint. The new Sky Sports package, refreshed interiors, and outdoor seating make it a perfect spot year-round.”

The Green Lady reopened on 18th February.
