The UK’s largest outdoor cinema is heading back to Wales this summer, with screenings confirmed at Cardiff Castle in May and Margam Country Park in July.
Adventure Cinema will return with what organisers say is its most immersive season yet, bringing open air film nights to two of Wales’ most iconic settings.
The big screen will light up the grounds of Cardiff Castle from 7 to 10 May, before heading to Margam Country Park from 10 to 12 July.
The travelling cinema tour, which launches on 7 May 2026, will visit 57 locations across the UK, including stately homes, castles, gardens and landmark venues. Welsh audiences can expect a mix of sing along favourites, family films, cult classics, blockbuster hits and concert screenings.
This year’s line up includes Wicked, Grease and The Greatest Showman sing alongs, alongside family favourites such as Bing And His Friends at The Cinema and The Gruffalo. Big screen classics including Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Back To The Future will also feature.
Music fans can enjoy themed cinema events including Mamma Mia! ExtrABBAganza, which combines the film with an ABBA disco, and the new Queen Outdoor Cinema Celebration, pairing Bohemian Rhapsody with a Queen disco under the stars.
Organisers say the experience is designed to be more than just a film screening, with audiences encouraged to bring blankets, pack picnics and enjoy food and drink options on site.
Tickets start from £9.80 and go on sale from Thursday 26 February via the Adventure Cinema website.
