Motorists are being urged to avoid part of the A470 following a road traffic collision this afternoon.
Officers from South Wales Police are currently at the scene on the A470 southbound, just before Abercynon.
The collision has happened within the 50mph zone prior to the Abercynon roundabout, with drivers advised to use alternative routes where possible.
Traffic is expected to build in the area while emergency services deal with the incident. Road users are being thanked for their patience and cooperation.
Anyone travelling through the area is encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journey.
