Wales is set to compete on the global esports stage after a new partnership between Esports Wales and the Football Association of Wales will see national teams entered into the FIFAe World Cup.
The collaboration will see Welsh teams compete in both eFootball and Rocket League, marking a major step forward in bringing together traditional sport and esports in Wales.
The move creates a clear national pathway for elite esports players to represent Wales internationally, aligning structures across both organisations to support growth and performance at the highest level.
Wales will be represented by dedicated squads across both competitions.
In the eFootball team competition, Wales will be represented by:

The Rocket League squad will feature:
- Ell1s
- Tadpole
- Creamz
- Breezi
- Jazz
All players will compete under the Welsh banner as part of FIFA’s official esports ecosystem, taking on some of the best players from around the world in one of the most prestigious esports competitions.
Under the partnership, Esports Wales will lead on esports operations, player pathways and competition delivery, while working closely with the FAW on national representation, branding and integration within the wider sporting landscape.
The collaboration is focused on supporting elite performance, creating transparent and credible selection pathways, showcasing Welsh talent internationally and strengthening the connection between esports and traditional sport.

Founded in 2018, Esports Wales is the national governing body for esports in Wales, supporting players, clubs and communities from grassroots level through to international competition, with a strong focus on inclusion, governance and sustainable talent pathways.
The Football Association of Wales is responsible for the promotion and development of football across Wales and has increasingly embraced esports as part of the modern sporting landscape.
