Loungers, the West Country‑based café‑bar group, will open Morio Lounge at Nell’s Point on Wednesday 3rd June 2026, creating around 30 new jobs for local people.
Morio Lounge will be open all day, every day, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks, with dedicated kids’, gluten‑free and vegan menus.  The unit at Nell’s Point is currently being transformed by the Loungers design team into a warm, eclectic “home from home” – their signature style.  The name ‘Morio’ – meaning ‘sea’ – is a nod to the Lounge’s location.
Morio Lounge’s all‑day menu will cater for every taste, from hearty comfort food to healthier choices and indulgent treats.  Families are a major focus, with games, books, colouring materials, high chairs and baby‑changing facilities available for Little Loungers.
With community at its heart, Morio Lounge will offer a welcoming space for regular meet‑ups, business catch‑ups, book clubs, knitting groups, parent‑and‑baby sessions, creative workshops and more.  Local groups looking for a friendly, flexible venue will be encouraged to get in touch.
Matt Birch, General Manager of Morio Lounge, said: “We’re counting down the days until we can welcome everyone to Morio Lounge on Wednesday 3rd June.  We’re committed to being a true part of the community, and we can’t wait to meet our neighbours and get involved locally.
“If you’re looking for a friendly, flexible space for events or group meet‑ups, drop in once we’re open.  We’d love to chat and see what we can do.”
