Car lovers and families are all invited to Rhondda Heritage Park Museum this summer, as the much‑loved Classic Car Show rolls back in for another brilliant day!

Taking place on Saturday 27 June, 10am–4pm, the event will see the museum courtyard transformed into a celebration of motoring history, packed with eye‑catching vintage vehicles and plenty to explore.

Organised in partnership with the Glamorgan Classic Car Club, the show will feature a fantastic mix of classic cars and bikes. Visitors can get up close, take photos and chat to the owners who are always happy to share their stories and passion for these beautifully cared‑for vehicles.

There’s lots more to enjoy beyond the cars too. Families can explore the museum’s interactive exhibitions, grab a bite to eat at the onsite Caffe, or take part in the popular Black Gold Underground Tour, a unique and entertaining journey back in time to discover the story of coal mining in the South Wales Valleys.

All of the tour guides are former coal miners who once worked underground themselves, and every tour is different. Expect plenty of laughs, fascinating stories and personal memories, before finishing with a ride on the DRAM – a fun, simulated journey as the last dram of coal travels to the top of the mine shaft. Hold on tight!

Tickets for the Classic Car Show cost £6.50 for adults and £5.50 for children, including a £1 transaction fee per booking. Children’s tickets can’t be purchased individually online but can be added to a booking by calling Rhondda Heritage Park. Children aged five and under go free.

Whether you’re a classic car enthusiast or simply looking for a family day out, there’s something for everyone at this popular annual event!

Councillor Scott Emanuel, Cabinet Member for Communities, said: “Councillor Scott Emanuel, Cabinet Member for Communities, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the Classic Car Show back to Rhondda Heritage Park this year. This much‑loved event has something to offer visitors of all ages. Working with the Glamorgan Classic Car Club, we’re able to showcase a wonderful range of classic vehicles, that are well loved and cared for by their owners, who are always generous with their time and happy to chat through their vehicles history, making this event just as enjoyable for families and children as it is for car enthusiasts.”

Those interested in exhibiting their own classic vehicle are encouraged to apply in advance here.

Visitors can purchase tickets here, or pay upon entry on the day!
