Queen legend Roger Taylor has announced a brand-new UK tour and solo album, with Swansea set to host the final date of his only UK shows this year.

The acclaimed songwriter, drummer and singer will bring his VIOLENCE INSANE IN A BEAUTIFUL WORLD tour to Swansea Building Society Arena on Tuesday 29 September 2026, as part of a six-date run across the UK.

The tour coincides with the release of Roger’s seventh solo album, VIOLENCE INSANE IN A BEAUTIFUL WORLD, which arrives on 18 September via Columbia Records. The album marks his first solo release since 2021’s critically acclaimed OUTSIDER, which reached the UK Top 3.

Joining Roger on tour will be his live band featuring keyboardist Spike Edney, supporting drummer Tyler Warren, multi-instrumentalist Tina Keys, bassist Neil Fairclough and guitarist Christian Mendoza.

Alongside Swansea, the tour will visit Newcastle, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester and London’s iconic Roundhouse.

Fans can secure their copy of the new album and gain access to an exclusive tour pre-sale by signing up via Roger Taylor’s official website.

The album’s first single, COME ON SUMMER (IT’S PARTY TIME), has been released today and features a guest appearance from South Africa’s acclaimed Ndlovu Youth Choir, who gained international recognition for their Zulu-language rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody.

The new album explores themes surrounding the beauty of the world alongside concerns about conflict, environmental damage and division, while also carrying an underlying message of hope, kindness and optimism.

The album was largely written, produced, performed and sung by Roger himself, with support from long-time collaborator Joshua J. Macrae, members of his touring band and The Ndlovu Youth Choir, who appear on three tracks.

Roger discovered the choir after watching their acclaimed Zulu-language version of Bohemian Rhapsody and felt their contribution added a completely new dimension to several songs on the album.

The album cover also has a remarkable connection to space exploration. While Roger was finalising the artwork, NASA’s Artemis II mission captured images of Earth from deep space, drawing comparisons with the album’s visual theme.

The artwork is inspired by the album’s opening track, A Beautiful World, which imagines an alien observing Earth from orbit, admiring its beauty while also witnessing humanity’s challenges and contradictions.

Known globally as a founding member of Queen, Roger has enjoyed a successful solo career spanning almost five decades. While he remains synonymous with one of the world’s greatest rock bands, his solo work has continued to embrace a wide range of musical styles and influences.

The new record reflects that approach, drawing inspiration from the eclectic nature of classic albums and featuring a diverse collection of songs that move between different sounds and moods.

VIOLENCE INSANE IN A BEAUTIFUL WORLD is Roger’s seventh solo album since launching his solo career in 1977 and follows the success of OUTSIDER, which became one of his highest-charting solo releases.

The accompanying tour marks a return to live performance with the same band that supported him on the Outsider Tour.

Tickets for the VIOLENCE INSANE IN A BEAUTIFUL WORLD tour are expected to be in high demand, with Swansea hosting the final UK performance of the run.
