Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses and anyone with information following a fatal collision on the A40 between St Clears and Whitland.

The collision happened at approximately 12pm on Sunday, June 21, and involved four vehicles: a grey Audi, a blue Seat, a grey Vauxhall and an orange KTM motorbike.

The rider of the KTM motorbike sadly died as a result of their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police confirmed that the rider’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has since been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.

The A40 was closed for much of the day while collision investigators examined the scene. The road reopened at approximately 8.30pm.

Officers are now urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage that could assist the investigation, to come forward.

Anyone with information can contact Dyfed-Powys Police online, by emailing [email protected], by direct message on social media, or by calling 101.

Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting the charity’s website.

Police have asked anyone contacting them about the incident to quote reference number DP-20260621-177.
