South Wales Police has introduced additional powers at Cosmeston Country Park following reports of anti social behaviour.
The order gives officers the authority to direct individuals or groups to leave the area for up to 48 hours if their behaviour has, or is likely to contribute to disorder or cause harassment, alarm or distress to members of the public.
The move comes after concerns about behaviour at the popular park.
Police have also warned about reports of young people swimming and jumping into the lake.
South Wales Police is urging parents and guardians to speak to children and young people about the dangers of entering the water.
The additional powers are intended to help prevent further anti social behaviour and ensure the park remains a safe place for visitors.
