Families looking for ways to keep cool over the summer holidays can take advantage of free Splash and Play sessions for children at Wales National Pool Swansea.

The pool is offering one hour long Splash and Play sessions for children aged under 16 on almost every day until the end of August. While children’s places are free, accompanying adults pay just £2.50.

Sessions run from 1.30pm to 2.30pm and must be booked in advance.

Families can also enjoy Family Splash sessions from 10am until 12 noon every Monday to Friday throughout the summer. These sessions cost £2.50 per person, with under fives admitted free. Advance booking is also required.

The offers will not be available between July 29 and July 31, when the venue is hosting a swimming competition.

Bookings can be made by calling Wales National Pool Swansea on 01792 513 513, through the Wales National Pool Swansea website or via the Swansea Bay Sports Park app.

Adults can also take advantage of a two week membership for £12, allowing unlimited swimming during the fortnight. The membership offer is available to purchase between August 3 and August 17.

Visitors can also save on swimming equipment and accessories during the venue’s summer sale, with 25% off for non members and 30% off for members on all items except Swansea University branded products.

Jeremy Cole, General Manager at WNPS, said: “If you and the family want to make the most of the summer, the Wales National Pool is a great place to visit.

“Apart from the 50m pool, we’ve also got a family-friendly 25m pool. Youngsters will find fun floats and other play equipment during Splash and Play sessions.

“The free sessions are the perfect opportunity for children who are just getting used to the water to have some fun with their family and friends.”
