Wales is set for a mixed few days of weather, with sunshine becoming more widespread before temperatures rise for the weekend, according to the latest Met Office forecast.
After a few isolated showers on Thursday morning, much of the country is expected to turn dry with sunny spells developing through the afternoon. Winds will be lighter than earlier in the week, with temperatures reaching around 21°C.
Thursday night will bring patchy cloud and clear spells for most areas, with the chance of an isolated shower in the west. It is expected to be a cool but comfortable night, with temperatures falling as low as 4°C in some places.
Friday looks set to be the pick of the working week, with any early showers quickly clearing as cloud breaks up to leave a dry and sunny day across Wales. While sunshine may be hazy at times, it will feel warm, with highs of 23°C.
The dry weather is expected to continue into the start of the weekend, with sunny spells on Saturday and temperatures climbing again. A few showers may develop by Sunday, but many places are likely to stay dry.
Looking further ahead, temperatures are expected to ease back again into the start of next week before rising once more later in the week, continuing a pattern of brief cooler spells followed by warmer conditions.
The Met Office says the overall outlook remains largely settled, with plenty of dry weather and sunny intervals across much of Wales despite the chance of the odd isolated shower.
