Shoppers will have the chance to discover a wide range of independent makers, artists and vintage traders when The Riverfront hosts its Summer Market this Saturday.
Taking place from 11am to 5pm on Saturday 8 August, the free event will bring together a curated selection of local creatives offering everything from handmade crafts and original artwork to vintage fashion, jewellery and unique gifts.
Visitors will be able to browse stalls featuring vintage treasures and collectibles, art, prints, handmade jewellery, accessories, reworked clothing, sustainable fashion and independent creations.
Live music will also be running throughout the day, with performances from local musicians Emmy Seren, Greg Ryan and Ophelia’s Beard.
Featured stallholders include CraftyJoolz, Craft Garden, Sakura, Dhillon Kaur, Alice Banfield, Lolly Skura, Weird Wednesday, Flatboy, Newport Film Lab, UFO Circus, Slime Rat, LJ’s Vintage Village and Mourning Assembly.
The event will showcase a diverse range of creative work, from handcrafted crochet and jewellery to folklore inspired artwork, queer led independent design, traditional portrait photography and size inclusive vintage fashion.
Organisers say the Summer Market offers visitors the opportunity to find one of a kind pieces for their home, original artwork, handcrafted accessories or vintage clothing, while supporting independent creatives from across the region.
Admission is free and visitors are encouraged to arrive early to browse the full range of stalls and enjoy a day of shopping, live music and community.
