Businesses from across Wales will showcase the breadth of the country’s creative and entrepreneurial talent at Autumn Fair 2026, with independent makers and established family businesses heading to the NEC Birmingham from 6–9 September.

The Welsh contingent spans gifting, home, fragrance, beauty, jewellery, fashion, stationery and children’s products, with many exhibitors combining traditional craftsmanship and locally rooted stories with contemporary design and strong commercial appeal. Representing communities from Bridgend and Cardiff to Pembrokeshire and Powys, Welsh exhibitors will join more than 1,250 brands presenting their latest collections to thousands of retail buyers from across the UK and internationally.

    Welsh craftsmanship meets contemporary retail

Fantasy Candles, based in Mid Wales, will bring its award-winning collection of pure beeswax candles to Autumn Fair. From traditional dipped and pillar candles to colourful decorative designs, the company offers a wide variety of styles designed to suit different gifting occasions and interiors. Its focus on natural beeswax and handcrafted production places traditional candle-making firmly at the heart of its proposition.

Welsh jewellery will be represented by Ronin Jewellery, a small independent business designing and making colourful semi-precious beaded gemstone jewellery in its Welsh studio. Its collections combine vibrant colour and natural stones with accessible price points, creating distinctive pieces designed for gifting and everyday wear. The business prides itself on personal service and attention to detail, bringing the character of a small Welsh maker to the wholesale market.

The Milford Collection, based in Newtown, will celebrate over 40 years in business at Autumn Fair. The family-run company has spent more than four decades supplying retailers across the UK with ceramic and glass giftware, scented products, costume jewellery and magnetic health jewellery. Its popular Scented Pine Cones will feature alongside newer lines including Bug Bands and Polaris Colour Burning Powder, reflecting the company’s continued expansion into new product categories.

Making sustainability part of the story

Carmarthenshire-based OatSoak brings a particularly personal story to the show. The natural skincare brand was created by Welsh mums after founder’s son Arthur developed eczema, with the business built around the idea of carefully selecting every ingredient for a genuine purpose. Its products are designed for skin prone to eczema and irritation, giving retailers an opportunity to discover a purpose-led Welsh skincare brand with a compelling founder story.

Also from Carmarthenshire, Bare Boutique is a fast-growing bath and body brand founded by two Millennials. Its distinctive 90s-inspired aesthetic and nostalgic Bath Pearls have helped the brand gain attention well beyond Wales, with products now stocked internationally. The business brings a playful, social-media-friendly proposition to the bath and body category, combining nostalgia with contemporary design.

Based on the Welsh border, Little Moments Melts will showcase its luxury hand-poured candles, wax melts and reed diffusers. Produced in small batches, its soy wax fragrance products are designed to create simple moments of comfort and enjoyment at home, combining premium presentation with a handcrafted proposition.

Giving greeting cards a Welsh sense of humour

Sweary Card Lady will bring an unapologetically funny approach to the greeting card market, with bold typography, punchy colour and retro-inspired designs created in Wales and printed in the UK.

Designed for consumers who prefer their humour ‘a little less polite’, the cards are intended to stop shoppers in their tracks, make them laugh and ultimately drive purchase. Alongside the original collection, The Slightly Less Sweary Card Lady offers a more accessible range while retaining the brand’s distinctive personality. The business is actively looking to build wholesale partnerships with independent retailers seeking greeting cards with a strong point of difference.

Four decades of Welsh textile expertise

At the heart of the Welsh contingent is Tweedmill Textiles, based in Flint, North Wales. Established in 1971, the family-run manufacturer continues to combine generations of weaving expertise with contemporary design, producing blankets, picnic rugs and home accessories for some of the world’s best-known brands.

Its expert weavers work with natural fibres and traditional techniques to create tweeds, tartans and blankets designed to last. The company’s in-house design, pattern-cutting and sewing teams oversee production, while its approach includes recycling yarn alongside traditional wool weaving, demonstrating how heritage manufacturing can evolve for today’s market.

Mele & Co, meanwhile, will showcase its extensive range of jewellery cases and accessories, including more than 50 new styles, designs and colours for 2026. New additions span wooden jewellery cases, glass jewellery cases and trinket boxes, as well as photo frames and candle holders. Its popular children’s musical jewellery cases are also expanding with new shapes and designs, alongside fresh colours and styles in its fashion range.

A Welsh retail community with a global outlook

These businesses demonstrate the diversity of the Welsh retail supply chain, from tiny founder-led brands and independent makers to established family businesses with decades of experience. Their collections reflect some of the strongest themes running through today’s gift and lifestyle market: provenance, craftsmanship, sustainability, personality and products with a story to tell.

Matthew Mein, Event Director at Autumn Fair said: “We’re delighted to welcome such a strong group of Welsh businesses to Autumn Fair this year. Wales has an incredibly rich tradition of craftsmanship and creativity, but what really stands out is how these businesses are taking those qualities and translating them into products that feel relevant, distinctive and commercially exciting for today’s retailers. From traditional beeswax candles and Welsh-made textiles to innovative skincare, jewellery and greeting cards with a real sense of personality, there is a fantastic breadth to the Welsh offering. Autumn Fair gives these brands a valuable platform to meet buyers from across the UK and internationally, build new retail relationships and share the stories that make their products special.”

The Welsh businesses exhibiting at Autumn Fair include:

    • Bare Boutique – Carmarthen
    • Goose Island – Swansea
    • Gringo Imports (UK) Ltd – Swansea
    • Ikon Sales Ltd – Cardiff
    • Little Moments Melts – Hyssington, Powys
    • Mele & Co. – Cardiff
    • Naturally Nepal – Hermon, Pembrokeshire
    • Ronin Jewellery – Ammanford, Carmarthenshire
    • Sarah Tempest / Tempest Designs – Bridgend
    • Stands Out Ltd – Mochdre, Conwy
    • The Milford Collection – Newtown, Powys
    • The Sweary Card Lady – Bridgend
    • Tweedmill Textiles Ltd – Flint

From contemporary jewellery and fashion accessories to textiles, gifts, homewares and lifestyle products, the exhibitors reflect the breadth of Wales’ thriving independent retail sector.

Autumn Fair comes at a time when independent retailers are increasingly looking for products with authentic stories and distinctive design. According to the latest Voices of Retail report produced by Spring & Autumn Fair in partnership with Faire, consumers are increasingly choosing independent retailers for their personality, originality and unique product ranges, creating growing demand for innovative brands with strong identities.

For Welsh exhibitors, the show provides an opportunity to meet buyers from department stores, independent retailers, garden centres, museum shops, online retailers and destination stores, many of whom attend specifically to discover new brands unavailable elsewhere.

Alongside established names, Autumn Fair also provides a platform for emerging businesses launching innovative products and sustainable collections, reinforcing Wales’ reputation as a hub for creative entrepreneurship.

Autumn Fair takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 6–9 September 2026, bringing together more than 1,250 exhibitors and over 20,000 buyers from across the UK and internationally. The show will also be co-located with garden retail show Glee on 8–9 September, creating an expanded buying destination spanning home, gift, fashion, garden and outdoor living.
