    New Production Director appointed at National Timber Systems

    National Timber Systems (NTS) has announced the promotion of Andrew Watters from Divisional Production Manager to Production Director, as the business continues its period of development.
    This latest appointment follows Premier Forest Product’s acquisition of NTS at the start of the year, safeguarding its operations in Bristol, Sheffield, Newcastle and Catterick.
    Andrew brings extensive experience in production operations, having over 25 years of experience in production management within a range of different companies.
    During his fifteen years at NTS, 8 with NYTimber and 7 with NTS he has been instrumental in strengthening factory production controls, overseeing the company’s ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality management systems and supporting the successful introduction of new products across the business.
    In his new role, Andrew will take on the management of Health and Safety, as well as production and operations across all NTS branches including Newcastle, Catterick, Sheffield, and Bristol as well as NTS’ additional Timber Engineering in Newport.
    He will focus on driving operational excellence, maintaining the highest safety standards and identifying opportunities to improve capacity across all sites businesses.
    Working closely with the NTS Managing Director Nick Kershaw, Andrew is also driving NTS’s renewed focus on Right First Time manufacturing and customer service excellence, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction remain central to the company’s continued growth.
    Alongside this, he is committed to fostering a high-performing team culture by supporting continuous development through effective coaching, strong leadership and a focus on continuous improvement.
    On his appointment, Andrew said: “I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity and excited to continue my journey with the National Timber Systems team.
