Cardiff’s Sŵn Festival has unveiled the second wave of artists for its 19th edition, which will take place across the city from Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 October.
The festival will return with three full days of live music following the format used in 2024 and 2025.
More than 150 artists are due to perform across ten stages at nine venues throughout Cardiff.
Sŵn 2026 will form part of Cardiff Music City Festival for the third consecutive year. Running from 2 to 17 October, the wider programme will also include Llais and the Welsh Music Prize.
Founded by Huw Stephens in 2007 and led by the Clwb Ifor Bach team since 2018, Sŵn brings together local, national and international performers, with a focus on emerging artists and nurturing Welsh talent.
The latest additions include Pembrokeshire band Dewin, emerging lo-fi songwriter Tesni and four-piece Ffenest, whose album Emynau Anghyflawn was shortlisted for Welsh Language Album of the Year.
Welshpool-born, Leeds-based folk Americana artist Neve Cariad will also appear, alongside Cardiff band Pypi Slysh.
They join previously announced artists including Cerys Hafana, Ifan, Casi, Pys Melyn, WRKHOUSE and Tokomololo.
This year’s festival will take place at Tramshed, Clwb Ifor Bach, St John’s Church, Jacobs Basement, Fuel, The Canopi, Tiny Rebel, Little O’Neill’s and Porter’s.
The Sŵn Connect conference will return to Cornerstone in Cardiff on Friday 16 October.
Its speakers are yet to be announced, but the conference will feature a mixture of experienced industry voices and fresh perspectives for people looking to enter or learn more about the Welsh music industry and beyond.
