Plans have been announced to replace an ageing skatepark in Maesteg with a new purpose-built facility.
Bridgend County Borough Council has appointed Maverick Skateparks to design an all-new skatepark at Maesteg Welfare Park.
The new facility will replace the existing skatepark, which the council describes as popular but ageing.
The plans follow the completion of a similar project in Brackla, which opened earlier this year.
Riders and local residents will have an opportunity to help shape the Maesteg scheme, with a public consultation now being organised.
As part of the consultation, people will be asked what features they would like to see incorporated into the design of the new skatepark.
Further details about the consultation and how residents can take part are expected to be announced by the council.
