Internationally acclaimed stage star Alfie Boe is heading back to North Wales for a major live show alongside three leading stars of the West End and Broadway.
The celebrated tenor will headline Live at Llangollen Pavilion on Saturday, June 26, joined by Louise Dearman, Kerry Ellis and Rachel Tucker as his special guests.
Tickets for the fully standing show go on general sale at 10am on Friday.
One of Britain’s best-known tenors, Boe has built a career spanning opera, musical theatre, recording and television.
A graduate of the Royal College of Music who went on to train at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, he achieved international recognition performing leading roles with major opera companies before becoming widely known for playing Jean Valjean in Les Misérables.
He has starred in the production in both the West End and on Broadway, as well as its recent 40th anniversary world tour, performing at Radio City Music Hall in New York and appearing in the Australia and China casts.
Boe has also released more than a dozen studio albums and performed at major venues and events around the world, including Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Royal Albert Hall.
The Llangollen date will mark a return to a familiar venue for Boe, who has performed at the Pavilion on numerous previous occasions.
Joining him will be Wicked stars Kerry Ellis, Louise Dearman and Rachel Tucker with their Gravity show.
Ellis was the first British performer to play Elphaba in Wicked, while Dearman became the first and only performer to have played both Elphaba and Glinda in the musical. Tucker has played Elphaba on both Broadway and in the West End.
Gravity celebrates their collective stage careers and features favourites from shows including We Will Rock You, Cats, Oliver!, My Fair Lady, Miss Saigon, Les Misérables, Guys and Dolls, Evita, Joseph, The Great Gatsby, Sunset Boulevard and Chicago.
Kerry Ellis will also be making her third visit to the Pavilion.
Artistic Director of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod Dave Danford said: “Alfie Boe has become a firm favourite at Llangollen, and every time he performs in the Pavilion it creates a genuinely special atmosphere. He has such an extraordinary voice and a wonderful connection with audiences here, so I’m delighted that we’ll be welcoming him back once again next summer.
“It will also be wonderful to welcome Kerry Ellis back to Llangollen as part of Gravity, following her performance here in 2024. It promises to be a fantastic evening and another brilliant addition to our Live at Llangollen programme.”
