More than 30 primary schools from across Pembrokeshire took part in a Bronze Young Ambassadors Training Day at Pembrokeshire Archives earlier this month.
Organised by Sport Pembrokeshire and sponsored by Valero, the Young Ambassadors programme aims to empower young people to influence their communities through sport and physical activity.
The event on Tuesday 15 September saw Gold and Silver Young Ambassadors welcome pupils and share their experiences of promoting sport and wellbeing within their schools.
Participants took part in workshops covering first aid, inclusion activities, action planning and the Daily Mile, helping them develop skills and confidence for their ambassador roles.
Sport Pembrokeshire Manager Matt Freeman said: “The Bronze Young Ambassador Conference highlights the important role young people play in shaping sport, physical activity and wellbeing opportunities within their schools and communities.
“By developing the confidence, skills and leadership qualities of young ambassadors, we are investing in the next generation of leaders who can inspire others to become more active and connected to sport and physical activity.
“Over the coming year, these young leaders will help increase participation, champion inclusion, and ensure the voices of their peers help shape opportunities within their schools and wider communities.”
