The family of missing Aberdare man Ricky Harris are facing another painful milestone as he marks his 34th birthday more than two years after his disappearance.
Ricky, from Aberaman, near Aberdare, has not been seen since the afternoon of Saturday, November 18, 2023.
South Wales Police has renewed its appeal for information as the investigation into his disappearance remains active and ongoing.
Detective Chief Inspector Danielle Thorne said: “Every sighting and piece of information from the public is treated with the utmost seriousness. We are continually reviewing new leads, ensuring that no stone is left unturned.”
A 41-year-old man from Mountain Ash was arrested on suspicion of preventing a lawful burial and perverting the course of justice in connection with Ricky’s disappearance. He was later released on bail.
Police say they remain committed to finding Ricky and continue to keep his family informed about the investigation.
DCI Thorne added: “We are unwavering in our commitment to locate Ricky, and we are in constant communication with his family, keeping them updated on every development in our search.”
Officers have also highlighted an event from the day Ricky disappeared in the hope it may help jog people’s memories.
On November 18, 2023, the Wales men’s football team drew 1-1 away against Armenia.
South Wales Police is urging anyone who may have information about Ricky’s disappearance, regardless of how small or insignificant it may seem, to come forward.
