Families heading to North Wales this October can enjoy a month of Halloween activities as Away Resorts brings back its popular 31 Days of Halloween celebrations.
The holiday park operator has confirmed that Golden Sands Holiday Park in North Wales will be among ten locations across the UK taking part in the event, which runs from 2 October to 1 November 2026.
Following the success of last year’s celebrations, the programme promises a mix of family-friendly entertainment, fancy dress parties, trick-or-treat trails, pumpkin activities and spooky experiences designed to be fun rather than frightening.
The celebrations will also take place during the October half-term holidays, giving families an opportunity to enjoy a Halloween-themed break.
A month of Halloween fun
Away Resorts is bringing back a number of popular activities, including its Franken-slime GOO Laboratory, where children can create their own slime, and Potions & Smells, which gives budding witches and wizards the chance to make bubbling concoctions.
There will also be Hocus-Pocus Pottery Painting, with children able to decorate ceramic pumpkins and vampires to take home.
Families can get involved in pumpkin painting and carving before showing off their creations and Halloween costumes at the Halloween Jam-BOO-ree.
Younger guests can enjoy Bear’s in the Woods and Play Tots Showtime, while the Kids House Party: Brain Rot Invasion! will provide an opportunity to hit the dancefloor.
Other activities include Halloween Tie-Dye, Boo Crew HQ role-play adventures and Tricks & Treats experiences.
Trick-or-treat trails and Halloween parties
The popular Boo Crew will return to guide families through the Halloween celebrations, with team members roaming the parks and helping guests take part in the activities.
Children will also be able to collect badges throughout their stay as they complete different experiences, eventually earning their own ‘licence to scare’.
The Trick or Treat Treasure Trail will see families following clues around the park to collect treats, with a few friendly Halloween characters appearing along the way.
For those who enjoy music and dancing, DJ Bones will host a Halloween silent disco, complete with spooky soundtracks, costumes and party treats.

We loved our Halloween break at Golden Sands last year
Golden Sands Holiday Park is one of the ten locations taking part in this year’s celebrations, and it’s somewhere we have particularly fond memories of.
Last October, we visited the North Wales holiday park for a family break and discovered just how enjoyable a caravan holiday can be outside the traditional summer season.
From the family-friendly atmosphere to the activities and entertainment, we had a fantastic time and found that an autumn getaway could be just as much fun as a summer holiday.
You can read about our experience in our review: Why our October break at a Welsh caravan park was just as good as a summer holiday.
With the return of 31 Days of Halloween, families visiting Golden Sands this October will have even more opportunities to make memories during the autumn holidays.

Halloween celebrations across the UK
Away Resorts has expanded this year’s programme to ten holiday parks, with Newquay Bay in Cornwall joining the celebrations for the first time.
At Sandy Balls Holiday Village in the New Forest, guests can also experience the Forest of Light Halloween attraction.
Running each evening from 5pm until 10pm, the illuminated woodland trail will feature colourful lighting effects transforming the trees after dark.
Visitors can also take part in The Enchanted Cauldron, gathering around a fire as the Forest of Light is switched on and adding Witches Dust to create colourful flames.
Halloween activities at Sandy Balls and Tattershall Lakes will continue until 8 November, extending beyond the main programme.
Samantha Storey, Experience Delivery Manager at Away Resorts, said: “Halloween at Away Resorts gets bigger and better every year, and our month-long celebrations mean families can enjoy the ‘spooky not scary’ season ahead of and beyond Halloween weekend. We’re very fortunate to have an incredibly passionate team on every site that makes each immersive experience just as special as the next and we’re proud that our guests are returning every year to take part in the activities & experiences our teams put so much effort into. With even more happening this year, we’re giving families more reasons than ever to dress up, join in and make hauntingly magical memories together.”
